FYZZ is developing its own interpretation of this concept for adults. Piña Colada and Mojito are the starting points for the first flavour development. Recipes, alcohol content and packaging are not yet final. Here we explain what cocktail gummies are, the choices involved in developing them and what FYZZ is currently exploring.

What exactly are cocktail gummies?

The word gummy mainly describes the sweet’s soft, chewy texture. It does not tell you whether it contains alcohol. There are different types within this category.

Ordinary gummies include fruit gums: sweets with a fruity or sour flavour, without a cocktail as their starting point. Cocktail-flavoured gummies recreate a recognisable combination, such as pineapple and coconut. They can be entirely alcohol-free. A cocktail name on the packaging does not automatically mean there is alcohol inside.

Alcohol-infused gummies combine that flavour profile with alcohol as part of their formulation. They are not ordinary sweets for everyone. They are products for adults, for whom clear information about ingredients and the amount of alcohol matters.

Alcohol content can vary between products. A gummy’s weight also determines how much alcohol one piece contains. A percentage alone does not tell the whole story. For FYZZ, both the alcohol content and the amount per gummy still need to be established. We will share specific values only when they have been checked for the final product.

How do you turn a cocktail into a gummy?

Turning a cocktail into a gummy involves more than adding a drink to sweets. A liquid cocktail and a chewy product release flavours differently. Sweetness, acidity and aroma need to be balanced again, without one ingredient overwhelming the others.

Texture also matters in product development. A gummy needs to hold its shape and have a pleasant chew. The chosen gelling agents, moisture and other ingredients affect that structure. The presence of alcohol makes it important to test the formulation as a whole, rather than judging flavour alone.

The production process needs attention too. Alcohol can be lost during processing, for example through evaporation. The amount added at the start of a recipe is not necessarily the amount in the finished product. Measurements of the final product are needed to provide reliable information.

Shelf life is a separate development question. Flavour, texture and safety need to be assessed under the intended storage conditions and in the chosen packaging. These are general considerations when developing alcohol-infused sweets, not a description of proven FYZZ results. FYZZ has not yet established a final shelf life, ingredients list or production specification.

Which cocktail flavours is FYZZ developing?

FYZZ is exploring two recognisable cocktails as its starting point. The aim is to translate their character into a gummy, not to suggest that one sweet is equivalent to a full glass of cocktail. The final recipes and formulations have not been settled.

Piña Colada

Piña Colada is known for its combination of pineapple, coconut and rum. Pineapple brings a fruity, sweet-tart character; coconut adds a softer, creamy flavour. In the cocktail, rum provides the alcoholic base. For Piña Colada gummies, FYZZ is exploring how those different flavours can come together in a chewy format.

The balance between pineapple and coconut is a development choice. Too much emphasis on one flavour can change how recognisable the combination feels. The ingredients and alcoholic base ultimately used will depend on product development.

Mojito

A Mojito combines lime, mint and rum. Its recognisable flavour profile comes from fresh citrus and the herbal character of mint, with sweetness providing balance. FYZZ is also exploring this combination for the first development of Mojito gummies.

This flavour is about balance: mint should not overpower the lime, and the acidity needs to work with the gummy’s sweetness. Here too, the final ingredients, recipe and formulation have not been determined. The flavour names describe the direction of development, not a range that is already available.

Why is FYZZ exploring a Pocket Tin?

Alongside flavour, FYZZ is exploring how the product could be packaged. The starting point is a Pocket Tin: a compact metal slider tin with a premium matte-black finish and gold FYZZ branding. The sliding lid is part of the design concept.

The intended contents are eight gummies per tin. This is a design starting point, not a confirmed quantity or consumption recommendation. The gummies’ size, weight and available space still need to be aligned. How the sweets will be protected inside the packaging also needs to be assessed.

Each flavour is intended to have its own visual identity within the same FYZZ style. Piña Colada and Mojito could be recognisably different without changing the brand’s overall appearance. The final packaging remains in development; the current concept is not a finished production design and carries no proven sustainability claim.

When will FYZZ cocktail gummies be available?

FYZZ is currently in development. There is no official launch date and the product cannot yet be purchased. The recipe, alcohol content, packaging and required product information need to be worked through first.
